Michelle Mah

Name: Michelle Mah (She/Her)

Title: Psychotherapist & Coach | Keynote Speaker | Facilitator

Company: The Curious Bonsai Therapy & Coaching

Bio: Michelle Mah is a psychotherapist, coach, and TEDx speaker who has spent a decade working at the intersection of mental health, human behaviour, and the stories we carry about who we're allowed to become.

She came to this work through her own experience. At the peak of a demanding corporate career, she was navigating an eating disorder, burnout, and a growing awareness that the life she'd built looked better than it felt. That season didn't just change her direction - it shaped how she practises.

What sets her work apart is the depth of the lens she brings. She integrates psychotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), BodyTalk, and a nervous system-informed approach - working with not just the mind, but the whole body's intelligence. Her Trauma of Money certification adds another layer: an understanding that our relationship with money is rarely just about money. It's woven into our sense of worth, our earliest conditioning, and the silent rules we inherited about what we deserve.

Across her work with individuals, couples, and organisations, her clinical credentials span trauma-informed modalities including Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) and Brain Switch 2.0, alongside Gottman Couples Therapy, Advanced Psychotherapy in Maternal Mental Health, Applied Suicide Intervention (ASIST), and a 300-hour Yoga Alliance certification.

She sits on the adjunct faculty at Nanyang Technological University and delivers programmes for Singapore Management University. Her work has reached over 50,000 people across Singapore and Asia, and she has been featured on CNA, TODAY, and MoneyFM.
